FAQs

1. I've booked tickets but didn't receive an email confirmation or my tickets?

Please check your junk mail folder as they may well have ended up there! If it's been a while since you've booked, they may have already been deleted from your spam, so drop us an email and we will happily resend them to you.

2. I can no longer make it to the show I booked, are tickets refundable?

Unfortunately tickets are non-refundable, however you are more than welcome to either pass them onto friends or family. Alternatively, for certain performances, we can change them for another performance date for you.

3. The weather is not looking good! Will the show still go ahead?

Yes! The Secret Garden is designed for outdoor performance, therefore the show will go ahead, even in wet weather conditions. We have not yet had to cancel or postpone any of our shows. We ask audience members to come prepared for all weather conditions (umbrellas are great for both rain and to offer shade in extreme heat!)

The only time a show will be rescheduled, is if the conditions are deemed to be unsafe for cast and/or audience members. We track the weather forecast for each performance very closely and will  always endeavour to give everyone as much notice as possible.

4. Is seating provided?

Almost all of our shows are picnic style seating, therefore chairs are not provided. Audience members should bring their own picnic blankets and/or fold out chairs, whatever makes you comfortable whilst being considerate to not obstruct the view of others around you.

5. The show starts at 2.30pm, what time can I arrive?

The audience area will always open at least 30 minutes before show start time. At some venues the area opens 1 hour before, please do check each venue's box office description or specific website for this information - if you can't find it then feel free to drop us an email!

6. Can I bring my own food & drinks?

Yes! Picnics are encouraged as it's all part of the outdoor show experience! Alcoholic drinks will not be permitted however.

7. Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately only assistance dogs will be permitted into the audience area.

8. What is the age guidance for Nightingale?

Nightingale is a family friendly show, suitable for all ages. There is no violence or anything scary in the show. We have a gentle recommendation of 8+ in place purely for the reason that's a slightly more mature subject, following Florence's journey through war etc. We encourage KS1 children to come as Florence Nightingale is often studied in schools - a fun, educational pack will also be available for all young audience members.

9. What COVID measures are in place?

All performances take place outdoors and are COVID-secure.

As self-isolation is no longer a legal requirement for people with coronavirus (COVID-19) or those who have been in contact with someone who has tested positive, we cannot offer refunds for this reason. If you have tested positive for coronavirus, and would like to change your ticket to another performance, then please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

You can find the latest government guidelines on COVID-19  here.

In the very unlikely event that the show does have to be cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19 cases amongst the cast/crew, you will be offered the opportunity to exchange your ticket for an alternative performance where possible or a full refund.
