Hulya fell in love with dance and theatre at the age of 13 and has never looked back since. She has gone on to have a career as a professional dancer, teacher, director and producer.

Hulya started her training at Bird College Junior School where she danced until she relocated to North Cyprus at the age of 15. In Cyprus she had two years intensive training with Russian classical dancers, Oleg Manukovskiy and Natalia Valishvili. Her time in Cyprus also offered many great performance opportunities including dancing classical solos at prestigious venues such as Bellepais Abbey.

On returning to the UK, she continued her dance training at Liz Burville Performing Arts School and The London Russian Ballet School. At 18 she was accepted to train at Kate Simmons Dance graduating with a Level 6 National Diploma in Dance as well as DDI and DDE ISTD Cecchetti Classcial ballet teaching qualifications. During her time at KS Dance she was given many great opportunities, including working with Grazia Galante on Bejart’s Bolero, performed at the Lowry Theatre and dancing for BBC’s Dance Proms at The Royal Albert Hall.

As a professional dancer, Hulya has performed across a broad spectrum of work. She has toured nationally dancing in New Creations Collective's production of "The Secret Garden" and with Allegrodance Touring Company, dancing a variation of works including "An American in Paris" accompanied by a 40 piece live orchestra. She has danced for several contemporary ballet companies including Hack Ballet and E33 Dance Company.  Hulya has danced at several high profile events such as London Fashion Week and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has appeared as both a dancer and actress on screen for film, television and music videos.

Hulya has taught across London at places such as Canada Water Studios, Reynolds Performing Arts Academy, Studio 68 and Cecchetti Central Associates. She has also worked as warm-up mistress, ballet mistress and workshop leader for London Children’s Ballet. She has co-ordinated LCB's summer schools and is currently LCB's Tour Director, adapting their West End production for the touring company.

Hulya has directed and produced two highly successful, original touring ballets for New Creations Collective, "The Secret Garden" (2021-22) and "Nightingale" (2023-24) which tour across the UK to both indoor and outdoor venues.

Hulya is passionate about performing and creating work of technical excellence whilst upholding high industry standards. She loves to collaborate with likeminded artists to create work that tells a story, and inspires hope and joy into its audiences.
